Senators ask DOD why tuition-assistance programs haven't resumed

The Defense Department is taking too long to restore the tuition-assistance programs of the Army, Air Force and Marine Corps, according to Sens. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., and Kay Hagen, D-N.C. The two senators sent a letter to Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, reminding him that the DOD is required to continue offering tuition assistance through September, under legislation signed last month.
