Vendors bring legal battle to suspected "patent trolls"

Brocade Communications Systems and Rackspace are fighting back against what they view as "patent trolls," John Ribeiro writes. "Today we drove a stake into the ground in our dogged fight against patent trolls -- we sued one of the most notorious patent trolls in America," Rackspace's Alan Schoenbaum wrote in a blog post about a lawsuit filed against Parallel Iron. Separately, Brocade's position was upheld Thursday when a federal court rejected an appeal by Chrimar Systems.
