Woolly lawn mowers set afoot in the City of Light

In a bid to promote sustainability, Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoë sent four black sheep to maintain the grassy field at the municipal archives building. The move is called "eco-grazing," since the sheep eliminate the need for gas-powered mowers and herbicides. The ewes could affect biodiversity, but should their use become successful, the city plans to expand the project.
