Kim calls missile launch a success while rest of world fumes

While observers said a North Korean missile launch failed to deliver an orbital satellite, North Korea's Kim Jong Il hailed the move as a success -- and told his people the Kwangmyongsong-2 satellite was beaming revolutionary songs throughout the universe. Leaders from Japan, South Korea, Europe and the U.S. condemned the launch as an international provocation. Academics said there are enough North Koreans with access to South Korean television to ensure any faith in Kim's claim of a successful launch will be short-lived.
