Study: 4% of health care workers are MRSA-positive

A large-scale study found that around 4% of health care workers carry methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Of the workers in direct patient care, 4.6% tested positive while 4.2% were positive among nonclinical workers. The low percentage of MRSA infection among health care workers is encouraging, the study's principal investigator said.
