Texas diagnostic clinic lays off 7 workers

The Abilene Diagnostic Clinic in Texas said it laid off seven employees as a result of the reduction in Medicare reimbursements for certain procedures and the global shortage in medical isotopes used in some tests. "This shortage has forced us to reduce the number of tests that we're performing," a company official said.
