Dish picks up Blockbuster assets at auction

Satellite provider Dish Network offered more than $320 million to win the assets of bankrupt video store chain Blockbuster, according to published reports. Dish Network founder Charles Ergen apparently views Blockbuster as "a going concern" and may use some of its remaining stores to sell Dish subscriptions and tap into the once-mighty retailer's on-demand operations.
