The Obama administration welcomed the Senate's rejection of several measures to limit or block the Environmental Protection Agency's ability to enforce climate rules, but Senate Republicans are intent on continuing efforts to overturn EPA's regulations. The votes from the proceedings "acknowledged that EPA ... is a very real source of problems within industry as far as it relates to the economy, and we need to do something about it," said Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska. "I think you will see an effort in the future. How that comes about remains to be seen."
