Quincy, Mass., takes risk with a $1.3B mixed-use development project

Quincy, Mass., is collaborating with Street Works Development for a $1.3 billion mixed-use development project with $289 million in new infrastructure. The New Quincy Center will build 3.5 million square feet of space that will include apartments, shops, offices and parking areas. Construction of the infrastructure is slated to begin in the middle of 2012, while construction of the buildings is scheduled to start in the middle of 2013.
