Sources: TSMC customers are still not getting enough 28nm chips

Advanced Micro Devices, Nvidia and Qualcomm haven't been able to get all the 28-nanometer ICs they want from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, causing Qualcomm to shift some orders to rival foundry United Microelectronics, say industry sources. The 28nm chip capacity shortage at TSMC is expected to continue until the end of the third quarter, those sources say.
