Delaware continues probe on coverage denials for heart tests

Delaware Insurance Commissioner Karen Weldin Stewart on Tuesday was set to facilitate a meeting to be attended by doctors, insurance company executives and legislators. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss concerns relating to insurance companies' coverage denials for certain heart imaging tests, including nuclear stress tests. Stewart called on patients who were denied such coverage to attend. An investigator from the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation was to attend the meeting.
