Survey: Security spend a bit too heavy on compliance

Enterprises are spending a greater portion of security monies on risk-and-compliance issues and leaving confidential data a bit unprotected, according to a survey by Forrester Consulting. The survey shows 90% of companies spending nearly 40% of security budgets on compliance requirements, a trend that might lead to competitive harm if intellectual property is lost or stolen.
