Facebook is trying to reassure users that its Home for Android phones won't adversely affect their privacy. Critics have raised concerns about the software's potential for gathering data related to all aspects of mobile-device use. "Home doesn't change anything related to your privacy settings on Facebook, and your privacy controls will work the same with Home as they do everywhere else on Facebook," the company said in a statement released Friday. Facebook began pitching Home by airing TV commercials during the NCAA men's college basketball tournament on Saturday as well as directly to the social network's subscribers.
