Belle Foods adds personal touch to meat label

Meat labeling at Belle Foods includes the words "professionally cut by," with space for the butcher to sign his or her name. The change shows customers that the meat is cut in-store and gives "that sense of pride to our meat cutters that it's still a trade, and there's a certain amount of craftsmanship in the art of cutting meat," said Ken Jones, director of meat and seafood.
