BRICS countries plan to advance development through bank, council

A group of five economically emerging nations have agreed to set up a bank to help fund development and infrastructure projects in developing countries. Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa will contribute about $10 billion each. The countries also have established a BRICS Think Tank Council, which will be dedicated as a "platform for the exchange of ideas among researchers, academia and think tanks."
