Can connected devices eliminate bad calls in baseball?

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers believes the use of machine-to-machine communications technology -- the gateway for the so-called "Internet of Things" -- could help baseball umpires make more accurate on-field calls via a system of wireless sensors attached to equipment. An IEEE official said connected devices could also improve players' training and the treatment of injuries.
