Construction industry at forefront of March jobs report

The U.S. Department of Labor released a report on Friday that found the construction industry added 18,000 new jobs in March, accounting for 20% of total national job growth for the month. According to IFA, the unemployment rate is lower because of a drop in national labor participation instead of a growth in the industry. "Today's jobs report demonstrates once again that the current economic policies of this country are doing little to put the private sector on a path toward long-term, sustainable growth," the industry group said.
