Developer wants state regulators to reconsider wind project

Emerging Energies presented new analysis to Wisconsin's Public Service Commission showing that its proposed Highland Wind Farm project in St. Croix County can meet the 45-decibel nighttime standard. The PSC had, in a split decision, denied a construction permit to the project, and then turned down an emergency request from the company to demonstrate that it can gain compliance with the state's nighttime acoustical standard for wind turbines.
