Facebook posts that ask brand fans to "fill in the blank" receive as much as 900% more engagement than those that do not, writes Helen Nesterenko. Asking fans for comment or using words such as "tell us" in posts are effective tools for increasing engagement. Posts that reference current events or popular memes can also encourage fans to participate more, she writes.
