Fla. teacher helps students see the creative side of math

Teacher Kathleen Jones' math lessons at Surfside Middle School in Panama City Beach, Fla., often involves her students collaborating with each other to reinforce concepts, or singing and infusing art into classroom work. "They do a lot of hands-on activities and apply it to the real world as much as we can," Jones said. "They make posters, they create word problems. It's getting them to think critically."
