Lobbyists prepare for new Do Not Track battle

Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., has reintroduced the Do Not Track Online Act, a measure that should get plenty of attention during this congressional session, this article notes. Ad-industry lobbyists are preparing for a bruising battle over the controversial legislation. "This is a clarion call. It's time for marketers to think clearly about what this [law] would mean for their business," said Rachel Thomas, vice president of government affairs for the Direct Marketing Association.
