Margaret Thatcher, the "Iron Lady" who served as the first female prime minister of Great Britain, has died at the age of 87 after suffering a stroke. A polarizing figure in Britain, Thatcher embraced free-market economics to break the back of her country's labor unions; on the global stage, meanwhile, she partnered with U.S. President Ronald Reagan to face down the Soviet Union and help end the Cold War. "She didn't just lead our country, she saved our country, and I believe she'll go down as the greatest British peacetime prime minister," said British Prime Minister David Cameron.
