ONC begins 2nd year of state MU acceleration challenge

The State Meaningful Use Acceleration Challenge 2.0, a friendly competition among U.S. states and territories, was unveiled by the ONC. The challenge, which aims to promote EHR use, will compare states' and territories' total population of providers, hospitals and professionals who have met meaningful use qualifications and are receiving incentives. "This will allow us to recognize those states that see huge growth in EHR adoption and meeting meaningful-use criteria this year," according to the ONC.
