Renewables plan could cost N.Y. $382B, analysts say

New York would have to spend about $382 billion and cover 13% of all state land with wind turbines if it were to follow recommendations from a study that showed how the state could get 50% of its power from renewable sources by 2030, analysts said. To achieve the 2030 goal, the study's authors outlined several measures, including tariffs, offshore wind and a green bank.
