Report: Capital inflows help curb prices in insurance-linked securities

Pricing at renewal is down by as much as 70% for peak U.S. hurricane- and earthquake-exposed transactions for clients placing significant capacity in insurance-linked securities, according to an Aon Benfield report. The markets for insurance-linked securities and collateralized reinsurance have experienced sustained inflows of new capital, which have contributed to the shift in rates, the report said.
