Report: Faculty salaries are keeping pace with inflation

Full-time faculty-member salaries are keeping up with inflation, according to a new report by the American Association of University Professors. The overall average salary increased by 1.7% in 2012-13. Salaries at private institutions rose 2.4% for all faculty, while those working at public universities saw an average salary increase of 1.3%. This year marks the first time that the average salary of a full professor at the country's five top-paying universities topped $200,000.
