SAG-AFTRA, advertisers' joint committee agree on new contract

The SAG-AFTRA union representing performers and the Joint Policy Committee of advertisers reached an agreement on a contract for TV and radio commercials, though details remain undisclosed, writes Richard Verrier. SAG-AFTRA's Roberta Reardon called it a "strong contract," while the lead negotiator for the Joint Policy Committee, Douglas J. Wood, said the advertising side made "important industry gains in key areas."
