Stay the course on Calif.'s biofuel standard

California should ignore calls by oil and natural gas companies to undo the state's low-carbon fuels standard, writes Propel Fuels CEO Matt Horton. The standard is working as designed by promoting development and demand for cleaner fuels, spurring innovation and generating jobs, Horton states. The standard "will continue to spur private sector investment and innovation and benefit consumers in its remaining seven years," as long the California officials maintain their support for the program, Horton notes.
