Telemedicine reaches shivering South Pole scientists

Working in Antarctica no longer means access only to basic medical care, thanks to the University of Texas Medical Branch and its telemedicine link between Galveston and South Pole scientists and support staff. Doctors can now diagnose problems as diverse as heart trouble or skin lesions and can provide psychiatric counseling.
