U.S. economy, patients are threatened by medical device tax

Medical technology plays a crucial role in patient care and the U.S. economy, and it is understanding of this that is behind the congressional bipartisan support for repeal of the medical device tax, according to this letter to the editor co-written by AdvaMed President and CEO Stephen Ubl and other medtech association leaders. The tax threatens the nation's leadership in the global medtech sector, "along with the good jobs, economic growth and new treatments that come with that leadership," the letter stated.
