Vine tops U.S. App Store while carrying "The Wolverine" teaser

Vine has climbed to the top of the U.S. App Store chart of free applications six months after its debut. The 6-second shareable video format from Twitter was booted from the App Store in an earlier iteration because of "adult" imagery and now sports a 17+ rating. New features as well as the release of a teaser for the new "The Wolverine" movie might have helped the app's popularity, Ken Yeung writes.
