White is confirmed by Senate to head SEC

Setting aside worries that Mary Jo White's work as a lawyer for Wall Street banks might compromise her ability to enforce the law, the Senate unanimously confirmed her to head the Securities and Exchange Commission. For the past decade while in private practice, the former federal prosecutor had defended JPMorgan Chase and other major financial institutions.
