9-1-1 dispatchers gain recognition for the life-saving work they do

This is National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week, a time to recognize 9-1-1 dispatchers like Kelly Berkey in York, Pa., who says she dwells on the thanks she gets from people she helps and not on what else she might have done for other callers. "You feel like you're doing what you're supposed to," Berkey said about receiving calls thanking her for her help.
