Bariatric surgery can bring long-term diabetes remission, study finds

About half of patients whose bariatric surgery resulted in diabetes remission were still in at least partial remission after about six years, according to a Cleveland Clinic study involving 217 people. Another 34% of patients had better glycemic control although they were not in remission.
