Bausch + Lomb wins FDA panel vote for eye implant

A panel of FDA advisers has voted in favor of recommending approval for Bausch + Lomb's Trulign Toric device, designed for patients who have undergone cataract-removal surgery. The posterior chamber intraocular lens is implanted in the eye's capsular bag to visually correct postoperative refractive astigmatism and aphakia in adult patients.
