Compromise immigration bill won't include LGBT concerns

The so-called "Gang of 8" immigration bill, a compromise measure being negotiated by eight U.S. senators, will not address the immigration concerns of LGBT families, according to Immigration Equality Executive Director Rachel Tiven. Instead, Tiven says, she hopes that bill can be amended as it works its way through Congress, a point echoed by Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y. Nadler said he would fight "to ensure that LGBT-inclusive language remains in any House and Senate conference report."
