Fla. must pay back $12M in federal Medicaid overpayments

A report by the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General revealed that the federal government overpaid ineligible Medicaid providers in Florida $12.3 million, which the state must pay back. The report found that total Medicaid overpayments funded jointly by the state and federal government from 2007 to 2010 totaled $22.3 million.
