Halting chronic stress and job burnout

Workplace burnout can result in absenteeism, anger and conditions such as high blood pressure and heart disease, experts say, but there are ways to stop job stress before it becomes chronic and leads to burnout. They recommend taking small steps to combat the source of the trouble, getting exercise outside, and disconnecting from work at the end of the day and on weekends by turning off all electronic devices.
