Hello Kitty tattoo may seem to have 9 lives, doctors warn

Tattoos are common, but evolving tastes and times can change how their owners feel about them. For one woman with a Hello Kitty tattoo, the transition to regret was nearly immediate. Doctors warn that people whose ink has outlived their desire for it should not attempt to remove the images themselves. Some daring souls attempt to remove the outer layer of skin, says plastic surgeon Michael Byun. The risks can include scars, burns and infection.
