Intel debuts super-high-speed Thunderbolt interface

Intel demonstrated new Thunderbolt computer interface technology that features input-output speeds that exceed USB 3.0 and can support transmission capacities of 20 Gbps bidirectionally, double the speed of earlier iterations. The new Thunderbolt cables, which already have more than 75 devices certified for them, are being developed in tandem with Intel's Redwood Ridge host controller and are expected to enter production in 2014.
