Intel's forthcoming over-the-top box has early admirers

Those few people who have had a chance to preview Intel's upcoming over-the-top television system seem to like it, Michael Learmonth writes. "I'm impressed because Intel makes chips; no one expected them to come out with a product like this," says Michael Bologna, GroupM's head of advanced TV. The new box is designed for the young, affluent consumer "who would like a TV service that works as well as their tablet or iPhone," Learmonth writes. Former Apple executive Courtnee Westendorf has been brought on to market the unnamed device, and promises to deliver "a flash of an emotion" to the advertising.
