Mass. town residents vote against plan to dismantle wind turbines

Residents of Falmouth, Mass., voted 125-72 to kill a proposal that would have approved borrowing $14 million to tear down two municipal wind turbines. Critics of the turbines cited sound-related complaints from nearby residents as justification for the bill, but supporters say it's premature to dismantle the turbines, which could contribute $450,000 in annual revenue to the town.
