Mich. district seeks to expand response to intervention in math

School officials in a Michigan district say response to intervention -- a program in which struggling students receive targeted instruction -- is yielding positive results for K-6 students. As a result, officials are seeking to expand the program to seventh grade next year. "We're seeing students that would normally continue to struggle getting the help they need to be successful," superintendent Douglas Trombley said.
