MRI-guided laser ablation device from Monteris wins FDA nod

The FDA has given Monteris Medical 510(k) clearance to market its NeuroBlate system, a next-generation device designed to ablate afflicted tissue in the brain using a surgical laser. The technology uses MRI for improved visualization and comes with a software platform to allow 3D, neurosurgeon-controlled ablation.
