Pea protein moves into spotlight

With more consumers seeking meat-free protein, food-makers are turning to pea protein, which has a neutral flavor and does not prompt an allergic reaction, as soy can. Recent launches with pea protein include So Delicious Almond Plus Beverage from So Delicious Dairy Free and the Laerabar Alt bar from General Mills.
