Report: CEOs are ready to drive IT innovation again

CEOs are gearing up to restart tech innovation and investment, a Gartner report says. CEOs said they are looking to hire executives to make IT investment happen, according to the report based on a survey of about 400 senior business leaders. "After more than a decade of modest investment and sorting out the basics, it's time to think ahead. Business leaders tell us they recognize the need to invest in e-commerce, mobile, cloud, social and other major technology categories ... That can't be done from within existing IT budgets alone," Gartner's Mark Raskino says.
