Services still unsure when tuition-assistance programs will restart

Military branches that suspended their tuition-assistance programs say they're awaiting guidance from the Defense Department before bringing them back. Legislation passed by Congress last month ordered the military to restart the programs. "We anticipate maybe by the end of next week," Lt. Col. Tom Alexander, an Army spokesman, said Friday.
