Small businesses indicate less confidence in economy

After three months of improvement, small-business optimism slipped in March because of concern about the lackluster economy and uncertainty regarding fiscal policy, according to the National Federation of Independent Business. "Confidence in the economy is crucial for small businesses and is an essential component to growth," said Sam Graves, R-Mo., chairman of the House Small Business Committee.
