Study finds patient benefits with full EHR access

Patients who had full access to their EHRs held positive views about their health care communication and responded mostly favorably to the transparency, with just a few reporting challenges posed by seeing previously unknown information, according to data collected in focus groups. The findings were published in the Journal of Medical Internet Research.
