Survey finds rise in cost of long-term care

The cost of nursing homes, assisted-living facilities and at-home care are rising, according to a survey conducted by Genworth Financial. The median annual cost of a nursing home is up 3.6% from 2012, to $83,950. Assisted-living costs have risen 4.6% to $41,400. Homemaker and home-health-aide services have increased 1.4% and 2.3%, respectively.
